The Publications of the Israel State Archives

An important aim of the Israel State Archives is to publish the archival material which it holds and to bring it to the attention of researchers and the general public.

The Archives' two leading publications are "Documents on the Foreign Policy of Israel" (in English and Hebrew) and the Commemorative Series for Israel's late presidents and prime ministers (in Hebrew only).

The first series of "Documents on the Foreign Policy of Israel"covers the 1947-1961 period.

Two volumes on May 1945 to November 1947 were published in English, in collaboration with the Jewish Agency and Tel Aviv University.

The Archives has taken part in two joint publication ventures with Russia and Poland: documents on relations with Russia covering the 1945-1953 period and documentation of Israeli-Poland foreign relations, 1945-1967.

The commemorative series, published on the basis of the Presidents and Prime Ministers of Israel Commemoration Law, includes eight volumes on Presidents Weizmann, Ben-Zvi, Shazar and Herzog and Prime Ministers Ben-Gurion, Sharett, Eshkol and Rabin (Part 1, up to 1967).

The Archives has also begun to issue
electronic publications, and "Israel-Greece Relations, 1961–1967" and "Israel-Cyprus Relations, 1961–1967" , thefirst parts of the new series of "Documents on the Foreign Policy of Israel", are now on-line.

In addition, the Archives issues a number of publications on various subjects:
