The Israel Archive Network Project (IAN)

The Israel Archive Network Project is a cultural heritage project within the Rehabilitation and Empowering of Cultural Heritage Infrastructure Framework of Projects (TAMAR) which is led by the Heritage Division of the Prime Minister's Office. The Network is a joint project of the National Library, the Israel State Archives and the Israel Archives and Information Association.

The aim of the project is to preserve cultural heritage – archival material held by public institutions and private bodies in Israel. To this end the project will establish a portal to improve public access to digitized material and systems for management of digital archival material and preservation of digital copies of existing archival material.

Request for Information: The project seeks to create a central Archive Management System that will serve as a system for the overall management of all the archival material in IAN and if possible as a central portal for the project. A system is required which can be used to manage individual archives as well as all the material held in the institutions participating in the project.
