The chief responsibilities of the Israel State Archives Information Systems and Technology Department are the ongoing administration and constant development of the organization's IT systems, while at the same time laying the groundwork for future IT and information systems.

 Information and Cataloguing Department
The Information and Cataloguing Department is in charge of the intellectual and administrative control of the archival material in the Israel State Archives. The Archives holds some 40 kilometres worth of heterogeneous archival material. Each year the Archives receives about one kilometre worth of material.
